Thing 2: Learning about Learning 2.0
I believe Web 2.0 is here to stay and how it will evolve over time nobody knows. I believe that librarians will have to adapt to this new technology in order to survive. Librarians have had to adapt to many technologies in the past that changed their traditional roles. For a library to remain useful to patrons, it must satisfy the users needs. With the ever-growing ways that people get information and the changing of their informational needs., the volume is simply too much for librarians to continue authoritative cataloging. It used to be where the Internet only allowed clicks on hypertext links to allow users to get to the information they needed. Now the WWW has evolved where users can share content of information user to user(photos, logs etc.). This content become more meaning when the user can share and exchange it with other users of similar interests.
